Nordic House and a dedicated group of volunteers arranged a Christmas party for children at the royal Norwegian embassy in Beijing. Around 60 children and adults participated. We had a Christmas decoration workshop, gingerbread-decorating, walked around the Christmas tree, and Santa even came and gave gifts for the children. The event was sponsored by Malthe Winje, AkerKværner and StatoilHydro.

Kristoffer Rønneberg, the former Aftenpostent correspondent in China concluded his tenure by showing images og china captured on his any journeys during the last two years. His Exhibition, “China-To me” was hld in Nordic House, and close to 100 guests enjoyed drinks and barbecue until latenight.

Nordic House arranged the annual Norwegian Christmas dinner at Radisson SAS. 130 guests enjoyed traditional Norwegian Christmas food. There were songs, games and a lottery collecting funds for the Star of Jlin center for autistic children. With the support of generous guests and our sponsors; SAS, Kinareiser and Malthe Winje, we managed to collect 22.000 RMB for the good cause.

Ingeborg Bodzioch opened her exhibition “Contingency of myth”. Her works are comprised of complex patterns of individual images which together form a whole. The artist explains: “These images are philosophical jigsaw puzzles which show and tell us something about our very existence as humans in this world.” Around 40 Chinese and Scandinavian guests enjoyed Xinjiang barbecue and drinks at the opening. www.ingeborgbodzioch.co.uk
